Putting Others First
Dear Kids,
Hello kids one of my friends once told me an interesting story from her childhood. One day her class teacher walked into her class and had given each of the kids a balloon. She had asked each student to blow up their balloon and write their name with a marker pen. Then she collected the balloon from each of the forty kids and put them into an empty room. The class teacher had asked the kids to find their own balloons within ten minutes. Have you guessed what happened? Maybe you have.....
There had been a lot of pushing, shoving, and maybe even a little bit of fighting. But of course, none of them found their balloons. Then the teacher told them to pick up any balloon and give it to the kid whose name was written on it and everyone found their balloons within five minutes.
What do you think the moral of the story is? Always put the happiness of others first.
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. Philippians 2: 3-4
