Dear Kids,
As young kids or as adults don't ever try to chase happiness. If you try to chase happiness you will feel as if you never have enough of what you want. But the truth is you have everything you need. I was recently browsing through the web and I came across an interesting story that illustrates this.
There was once a fisherman who was relaxing by a beach when a rich businessman came walking by. In a world where time was considered to be money, the businessman was quite annoyed to find the fisherman relaxing and enjoying the fresh air instead of working hard. So the businessman walked up to the fisherman and asked why he wasn't catching fish. The fisherman calmly replied that he had caught all the fish he needed for his day-to-day living. The rich business started explaining to the fisherman that if he caught more fish he could expand his business, employ people and earn a lot of money.
The fisherman innocently asked what can I do with all that money. The rich businessman replied in an annoyed voice that he could probably go for a holiday near the beach and enjoy the fresh air.
The fisherman calmly replied, "But Sir isn't that what I am doing right now?"
The businessman was shocked and left speechless.
So my dear kids always live in the present moment and be happy with what you have.
This is the day that the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
