Power of Positive thinking
Dear Kids,
A couple of decades ago I was growing up my Dad used to read books Dr Norman Vincent Peal on the power of positive thinking. He always told me that whatever activity I was doing I should have a positive attitude. Some people call this the "can-do attitude". If your homework or any other school activity looks hard in the beginning don't just close your book or your electronic device and walk away. Try your best to get it done. You can always ask for help from a parent, older sibling, or even a teacher.
If you have difficulty having a positive attitude you can try this simple exercise. Spend 10-15 minutes writing down three things that went well and why each day for at least a week. It could be something very simple as my friend gave me a nice smile this morning. Or it might be something like I won an award in the competition I participated in.
Underneath each item write what you did to make it happen. It can be that you smiled at your friend or you practiced hard for your competition. It might feel a bit odd in the beginning but it will get better with practice.
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up bones. Proverbs 17:22
